OUR BELMONT HOTEL MANILA STAYCATION!

There really is something about staycations that alleviates all the stress from your mind, and allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the real world.. even if it is just for one night. Even before we became bloggers, Rina and I would enjoy booking a room in a hotel in the metro, and enjoying a relaxing time in our room, without a care in the world.

To me, best staycations I've had, is when the essence of  the term "Staycation" is imbibed to its fullest.. It's the ones where we can simply stay in your room or hotel, and enjoy the facilities at your disposal. I don't need a large room, for as long as the bed is nice and fluffy, the air conditioning gets the room freezing, and I've got a big screen TV to catch up on some of my favorite shows.

And that's exactly what I did during my stay at Belmont Hotel, the newest hotel at Resorts World Manila.

Conveniently located near NAIA Terminal 3, the 480 room Belmont Hotel, is an ideal location for businessmen on the go. However, being that it's within the Newport City complex, which houses several restaurants, entertainment venues, movie houses and retail outlets, Belmont is also very popular staycation destination for families. as well!

ACCOMODATIONS

Since we were a total of four people (Me, Rina, Rain and Yaya), we were billeted in the Family Superior Room, which is essentially two rooms with an adjoining door. The room size is rather modest, however if you are two people in one room, then you should be just fine.

The room we stayed in, was equipped with a Queen Size bed, with some of the fluffiest pillows known to man. As in, once I laid my head on it, I was knocked out in thirty seconds, flat.

I know I joke about it a lot (see my instagram post). but it broke my heart when Rain saw the two Twin beds in the other room,  and pointed to the nearest one and said, "That's my bed"! This marked the first time my little girl slept by herself (she usually stays with Rina and I).

The room is equipped with a desk, personal refrigerator, a flat screen TV and a coffee maker.. The essentials for the weary traveler, especially if you need to get some work done.

The bathroom has a sexy window to it. Rain didn't know so I surprised her by pulling up the drapes as she was standing by the window. She seemed to get out of it hehe..

The bathroom utilizes the small area well, with Belmont providing the necessary toiletries you would need for your stay, replenished everyday or upon request.

Rain couldn't get over my little prank so she kept doing it, trying to scare her mom and yaya!

If you get the chance, try to avail of the Corner Suite. The Picture windows surrounding the room gives you a stunning view of the bustling Resorts World Complex from high above.

FACILITIES

You will find the swimming pool of The Belmont Hotel Manila The rooftop of Belmont Hotel Manila, is the swimming pool which also house an outdoor Jacuzzi, and the Kiddie Pool. The area is a rather soothing place to hang out at, because it gives you a 360 view of the Resorts World area.

           The Kiddie Pool

Belmont also houses an adequate fitness center, which has is equipped with an array of cardio-machines.

Great news for travelers, is that Belmont is building a bridge that will connect NAIA 3, directly to Belmont Hotel! Hopefully it will be done by late this year, or early next year.

CAFE BELMONT

Though admittedly there are a whole slew of very intriguing restaurants a few steps away at Resorts World, it would be remiss of you if you did not give Cafe Belmont a visit.

We were fortunate to eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Belmont's gorgeous restaurant, and I had no expectations whatsoever. You could say I was more than just pleasantly surprised that I was blown away with practically everything I had.

BREAKFAST

Some of the highlights of our breakfast was of course, the streaky bacon

The sausages were magnificent as well

Eggs anyway you want it!

A selection of Cereals

And delicious Pastries

LUNCH

Our first meal at Belmont was actually lunch, just before we checked in. Taking the reins at the kitchen is Chef Dean Manalo, whom I must admit, is easily one of the most talented chefs out there today.

Oh and  Rain was elated when the wait staff immediately set up her Mickey and Minnie Mouse dining set when she down!

The first dish that was served to us was the Sinigang na Salmon Belly sa Miso (P395), and much to my surprise, it also happened to be my favorite dish of what was served.

Salmon Chunks are coated in a light breading and deep fried, and served with vegetables. The Siningang broth is then poured into the bowl helping the fish retain the integrity of its crispiness.

What I loved about this dish was how the fish had wonderful linings of fat in it, and the sourness of the broth never overwhelmed your palate.

The Kare-Kare (P395) was also very well executed, with the beef incredibly tender, and the nutty sauce having just the right sweetness to compliment the flavor of the meat.

The Crispy Pata (P760) was also spectacular. The meat was seasoned to perfection, and tore easily off the bone, while the skin let out a sublime crack after every bite.

Our Dessert was the palate cleansing Fresh Fruits served with Strawberry Ice Cream.

SOUTH EAST ASIAN DINNER BUFFET

Fridays and Saturdays means South East Asian Buffet Night at Cafe Belmont! Chef Dean whipped up an outstanding spread of dishes spanning from The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.

I know Belmont Hotel isn't among the most high profile establishments out there, but

Here are some of the highlights of Cafe Belmont's South East Asian Buffet..

Rina loved the Baked Mussels!

The Fish with Black Bean Sauce was amazing!

You could practically hear the crack of the skin of the Lechon Kawali by just looking at it!

The Gkai Kamin, which is a Thai-style grilled Chicken with lemongrass and turmeric, giving it a remarkable flavor profile.

The Beef Rendang simply exploded with flavor. with it's perfect pairing of heat and savoriness, I can safely say that this was one of the best I've ever had.

Rina went to town on the Chili Crabs, which was drowned in a sweet chili sauce, giving the crustaceans a nice touch of heat.

Rina's favorite dish of the night was the Laksa. She must have had two or three bowls, causing me to fall in love with her all over again.

My favorite dish of the night was the Thit Nuong Xa, or the Vietnamese Grilled Pork Belly. It was lightly sweet and fatty, making it perfect with loads of rice..

           Specifically, the VIETNAMESE FRIED RICE

DESSERT

The highlights of the Dessert Spread was the Banana Cake

And the Yema Cake which wasn't overly sweet

The Coconut Tarts were also incredibly delicious. The strawberry slice on top gave it a nice touch of tartness that worked wonderfully with the coconut.

While Rain loved the Peach and Mango Jelly

What's most impressive about Cafe Belmont's South East Asian Buffet is how it only costs P900 Net per head! Considering this is a hotel spread, that's unheard of.

The South East Asian Spread is happening every 6-10pm on Friday And Saturdays of August. I'm hoping they'll extend it because I assure you, it's pretty awesome!

Although it's actually walking distance, guests of Belmont Hotel Manila can avail of the shuttle service that makes the rounds at Resorts World.

Given it's competitive rates and accessibility to the entertainment haven that is Resorts World Manila, Belmont Hotel is more than just a business hotel.  With it's dedication to impeccable service, exquisite food, and comfortable accommodations, Belmont Hotel Manila has quickly made a name for itself in the Manila hospitality scene.
