The sparkling new renovation of Podium Mall opened up opportunities for more shops and restaurants to settle into the bustling Ortigas center. Recently, a sprawling Food Hall opened, named, "The Corner Market". Spanning roughly around 1,200 square meters, The Corner Market is set to house 17 food establishments in its massive halls.
Though not all 17 are operational yet, your friendly neighborhood Pickiest Eater made the ultimate sacrifice for his beloved readers, to try the food stalls that have opened their doors at the Corner Market.. Where good food is just around the corner!
It's quite refreshing to see that healthier dining options have been sprouting up across the metro. Admittedly, these dining spots are usually seen by me as a last resort, but there are a growing number of health conscious people that are looking for restaurants that offer meals that are not only delicious, but nutritious as well!
Gusto! at The Corner Market Food Hall is one such restaurant that offers innovative takes on healthy food.
With the fresh produce sourced from local farmers, Gusto brings the farm to table experience to the Corner Market Food Hall. Fresh Fruits and vegetables are on display, so you can see exactly what goes into your meals.
Some of the dishes you could order are the Kani Sesame Salad. which was made with a medley of fruits and vegetables, shredded Kani and Nori, then drizzled in a Sesame dressing.
And the Lemon Yogurt Bowl, that is served with Adlai, Egg, and grilled chicken. The presence of the Chicken and Eggs makes this a hearty meal, giving you the needed sustenance to get through the day, without making you feel deprived from more indulgent meals
I was personally able to try the dishes, and though I'll admittedly never be converted into healthy eating, I couldn't help but be impressed with the creativity in developing healthy dishes that go beyond the usual salad.
