It was my officemate Toon's Birthday a couple of weeks ago, and I offered to treat him and a couple of members of our team out for a celebratory birthday lunch! I had a budget of P1,000, so my challenge to my buddy was that he choose from a list of restaurants from my Eatigo App, so we could get the best bang for the buck deal!
If you're not familiar with Eatigo, I strongly suggest you download it asap. It's an App that lists a whole bunch of restaurants that offer discounts at certain times of the day, so you can plan your meal at the time where you could get the most out of your money.
Restaurants are grouped into different categories, making it easier to find one that suits your fancy!
We looked through the different categories, but we didn't want to stray too far away from our Ortigas office, so we used Eatigo's super convenient "Here & Now" feature.
The "Here And Now" feature shows you restaurants around your area that have Eatigo Promos, so you can get the best deal from the establishment nearest you, that offer the best deals!
Simply choose the restaurant you want, find the time with the discount that works best for your budget, then indicate how many people you intend to bring with you, and make your reservation!
A confirmation email will be sent immediately, and you can also view and edit your reservation with your app.
So we decided to go to B & P All Day Breakfast, which just a block away from my office. We decided to move our lunch at 2pm so we could avail of the 50% discount.
Looking at the menu, I could tell that I would have no problems meeting the P1,000 challenge!
B & P actually has a nice, homey feel. You don't feel like you're at a restaurant, but instead more like you're visiting your aunts home, waiting as she lovingly prepares your meal.
The loft type layout includes a second floor that is perfect for intimate parties or events.
THE FOOD
My friend LeeAnne Ordered the Moussaka (P140/50% Eatigo Discount P70). It was actually cool to see that B & P has vegetarian options as well!
Being a vegetarian herself, B & P's Moussaka got LeeAnne's thumbs up!
My other companions and I, namely Dian and Birthday Boy Toons, all decided to get B & P's signature dish, Don Malutong (P285/50% Eatigo Discount P142.50)
Author Dian Tinio is always looking for a good deal on food, so she was amazed with Eatigo!
The Don Malutong is comprised of Deep Fried Strips of Pork Belly, laid over a bed of Adobo Fried Rice, then served with a Fried Egg and Atchara. Mix everything up into that stone bowl, and magic happens!
The Birthday Boy, Toons, sure got a mouthful with his Don Malutong!
Realizing that we were still way under budget, I decided to order the Chicken N' Toast (P295/50% Eatigo Discount P147.50) for sharing. A beautifully cooked Buttermilk Fried Chicken Quarter Leg is served with fluffy slices of French Toast.
You get a mix of savory and sweet with the Buttermilk Chicken and Gravy, combined with the buttery french toast that becomes even more amazing with Maple syrup.. Best of both worlds!
Even after all our entrees, we still had room in our tummies and wallets for dessert, so we went for the Cake of the Day, which was the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake (P100/50% Eatigo Discount P50). It was rich and moist, without being overly sweet.
So get this... Our party of four ordered One Moussaka, Three Don Malutongs... One Chick N' Toast... One Cake and Two Ice Teas, but because of our Eatigo Discount, everything we ordered was less than P1,000!
Pretty solid deal, huh?
We really enjoyed our meal at B & P All Day Breakfast, and at the same time, I really made Eatigo Believers of my officemates! They were actually a little annoyed with themselves for not using earlier! It was so simple to use, yet you save so much money on restaurants you love!
