#HAPPYHOLIDANES WITH DANES CHEESE BALLS

Rain really loves cheese, so when we got a delivery from Danes Cheese Balls, she couldn't hide her excitement! What is it about cheese that the holiday season doesn't seem to be complete without it? A sprinkling of cheese seems to emphasize that added bit of love you imbue in your dishes, showing you're willing to go a little extra to make sure your loved ones are satisfied.

And one of the best ways to show them you care, is by giving them Danes Cheese Balls!

MIGHTY QUINN'S NEW BBQ BURGERS AND RICE BOWLS!

When I first tried Mighty Quinn's at SM Mega Fashion Hall, I was instantly blown away but their mouthwatering BBQ dishes. Being the ever imaginative Burger Lover that I am, I couldn't help but wonder how these lip-smacking meats would taste when tucked between two buns.

Rina, on the other hand, would never fail to add rice to her meals, making me think what a Mighty Quinn's Rice Bowl would look like.

Well, Chef Lee Jose of Mighty Quinn's must have been listening, because he made my wishes come true when he launched Mighty Quinn's new BBQ Burgers and Rice Bowls!

TENYA'S WINTER SEAFOOD TENDON: A WONDERLAND OF FLAVORS

Here's a bit of trivia in case you didn't read my previous posts where I mentioned it... Rain's favorite food is Shrimp Tempura. Although she calls it "Crispy Shrimps", every time we go out and you ask her "What do you want to eat", there's a 99% chance of her saying "Crispy Shrimps!".

One time when Rina passed by Market! Market!,was intrigued with a sign she saw for a "Winter Seafood Tendon" from Tenya, a restaurant known for their tempura. During our next visit to Market! Market!, Rina asked if we could try it. Since I knew I would be outvoted 2-1 by my girls, I decided not to even try to protest and instead was excited to get my fill of some Tempura myself!.

A CHRISTMAS WISH: RACKS' BACON CRUSTED PORK RIBS

The year 2017 marked the year where I returned to working full time once again, effectively limiting the media events that I can attend. I honestly don't mind because I really love my job and the company I work for, not to mention media events have lost the sense of "exclusivity" it once had. In lieu of going to media events, I just try to find places around Ortigas Center (Where I work) that I feel is worth blogging about.

The El Pueblo branch of Racks is walking distance from my office, and there's yet another one at Megamall so when i'm in the vicinity of either, I never hesitate to drop by for a quick bite. During one of my strolls around the area, I saw a sign advertising their new Bacon Crusted Pork Ribs.As you can imagine, my leisurely stroll with my officemate Dian, ended up becoming a full on pig out session of Porky Bacony Goodness!

A YULE-THAI'D FEAST WITH MANGO TREE HOLIDAY SELECTIONS

Happy Holidays from The KTG!

With the Yuletide Celebration fast approaching, restaurants have been preparing holiday meals to help pep up their menu. One restaurant whose menu doesn't need any pepping up, is Mango Tree. However, even with its extensive roster of classic Thai dishes on its menu, I was surprised to see that they beefed it up anyway in honor of Christmas!

The KTG members along with some other blogger friends were invited to Mango Tree at Bonifacio High Street, to try  their 2017 Holiday Selections!

THE HOLIDAYS COMES ALIVE AT SAMBA: SHANGRI-LA AT THE FORT

Happy Birthday Bettina Bacani!

With it's bold flavors and intricate use of rather obscure herbs and other ingredients, Peruvian cuisine has steadily garnered worldwide attention. Samba, the premiere Peruvian restaurant located at Shangri-la at The Fort, takes that cuisine to a whole new level, by incorporating influences from The Philippines, Spain and other countries in South America.

This Christmas Eve, Samba has come up an amazing set menu that gives you a taste of Peru that will undoubtedly fascinate your taste buds.

Experience the Experience Store of De’Longhi Philippines!

De’Longhi Experience Store

Is it a coffee shop? Is it an appliance store? But it looks too nice and cozy to be an appliance store. You would be interested to know too what this place is when you happen to pass by it on the 3rd level of Vertis North Ayala. Honestly, it’s both! It’s De’ Longhi’s first Experience Store in the Philippines!

A CHRISTMAS COOKIE SURPRISE FROM SCOUT'S HONOR!

I am a cookie fanatic, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. And clearly, one of the best in the country today comes from Chef Miko Aspiras' "baby", Scout's Honor at Hole in The Wall. This holiday season, I was sent a box of some of Chef Miko's newest creations and I just had to share with you my delicious experience, with every cookie tasting even more awesome than the next!

A BEAUTIFUL MEAL AT BIJIN NABE BY TSUKADA NOJO

I'm sexy and I know it.

As a man married to a woman with a new found obsession with skin care products, I have come to be more aware of the importance of creating a youthful glow in your appearance. Nothing wrong with aging, however if we can help do it more gracefully, then why not, right?

Japanese restaurant chain Tsukada Nojo brings to the Philippines it's high quality collagen rich Bijin Nabe, also known as the "Beauty Hotpot", that not only has healthy benefits such as helps rebuild dead cells, but makes for a quite tasty meal as well!

FEELING RIGHT AT HOME AT BAKERE CAFE

I've never been one to go for fine dining. I really much prefer, simple, homey comfort food, especially when done right. I recently discovered one such restaurant that epitomizes everything I love about comfort food, almost to the point where I felt the menu was developed specifically for me in mind.

Guys, I'm really excited to tell you all about one of my favorite new restaurants of 2017, Bakere Cafe!

The Unbelievably Convenient Samsung Twin Cooling Refrigerator

Samsung Twin Cooling Refrigerator

When Rina and I got married and moved in together, we thought picking out a refrigerator was no big deal. Whatever fits with the space and looks cool enough is okay by us. But as time went by, especially with this blog becoming busier as months passed, we realized that picking a refrigerator was something we should not have taken so lightly. And right now, a brand that should come to mind when getting a top quality refrigerator that will last you for a long long time is Samsung’s Twin Cooling Refrigerator.

BAO WOW AT DON BAO!

I am a huge fan of Baos. In fact, when I visited New York in 2012, one of my first stops was the popular Baohaus, perhaps one of the restaurants that helped catapult the Bao into international attention. While Rina, on the other hand, is a rice girl through and through, so whenever we go out, there usually needs to be a promise of a decent rice meal some way or some how. During one of the KTG's eating adventures, I discovered a cozy little place that specializes in not just Baos, but Japanese "Dons" as well.. Meaning rice bowls. The marriage of the delectable Dons and those breathtaking Baos became the the foundation of a a charming little restaurant in Pasig.. Don Bao.
