Crowne Plaza is very special to me and Richie because this is where we had our wedding reception. Ballroom B,C,D,E. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a beautiful wedding! We stayed at the bridal suite that night, and I still remember the first thing I told Richie the morning after the wedding. I woke up at around 9AM, and I panicked and told Richie "WAKE UP MAGSASARA NA YUNG BREAKFAST BUFFET!!!" (Wake up the breakfast buffet's about to close!). And with that, we freshened up and rushed to the breakfast buffet in Seven Corners.

The brilliant chef behind the Parade of Singaporean Flavors is Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium Executive Chef Chua Yew Hock who flew all the way here to share his culinary masterpiece . His 30 years of culinary experience is apparent in the taste of his delicious dishes. If you want to try it too (and I believe you should), you better hurry because this runs only until March 13!
It was weird but this was one of those nights where I was so excited to eat! So enough introduction and let's start with the food!
The first thing I went for is the Chicken Rice.
Soft with subtle chicken stock flavors!
And then of course the Steamed Chicken. I love the simple comfort it gave my starving tummy. And a perfect pair with the Chicken Rice!
My next meal was the Laksa. This is the Laksa station. I have been craving for Lakasa for quite some time now and I'm so happy that this was the first laksa that touched my mouth after my craving. It blew me away!
The moment I tasted it, I could feel and taste the intense heat, but at the same time the coconut taste was fighting back with the same intensity! It was really an amazing burst of intense flavors in my mouth. The whole time I was eating it my mind was like "oooh that's spicy... but it's so good... but its so spicy... but its so addicting...". I had 2 bowls! And I'm not at all sorry!
Other Singaporean dishes in Seven Corners include...
Fried Hokkien Mee which is fried noodles
Chili Crab
(which as you can see has been attacked already by the time we got there)
Shrimp Paste Chicken
Assam Fish
Mutton Curry
For dessert....
There's Bubur Cha Cha which is a colorful and sweet rice cake dessert...
and my favorite Pandan Chiffon Cake which is lighter than air!
But of course, there's still the normal favorites at Seven Corners. There's glorious beautiful Prime Rib
...which Richie enjoyed with a very simple but brilliant side dish consist of the simple marriage of corn and bacon!
I had mine thinly sliced, medium rare, swimming in gravy and mashed potato!
There's also Porkloin with Port Wine and Mango Glaze
Beef Stew
Chicken Barbecue
Sushi corner
Seafood corner
Bread and cheese corner
And perfect for this scorching weather, Halo Halo! I customized mine with a layer of leche flan, sweet bananas, and some sago / pearls. And that was it. Plus of course ice and milk. Really good!
and Ice Cream!
And this interesting Sago Pudding!
And of course more colorful and delectable desserts that you can indulge on. So after dessert, with a heavy heart and a heavy yet happy stomach, we left Seven Corners back to our room and slipped away in slumber.
How coincidental it was that we bumped into Elaine of Zomato, the same person who helped arrange our stay in Crowne Plaza! Nice seeing you Elaine! Your little Rafa is so adorable!
January of Crowne Plaza also dropped by to say a quick hi!
Thank you so much for having us January!
